Maverick Smash Cake Session Mobile, AL

Maverick, I knew you existed before your daddy did. I got to see and photograph his first moments when he knew he was going to be a Dad. I was there when Mom and Dad found out you were going to be a little boy. Your daddy ran around the yard in excitement. Your Mom’s maternity photos are still some of my favorite. She was stunning in her maternity gown surrounded by water and trees. Your mom celebrated her 30th birthday this year and we had a cake smash session for her as well. You got to watch as we took her photos and you definitely took notes because you rocked your own cake smash. We took your photos at Cottage Hill Park in Mobile, AL. Your birthday theme was Where the Wild Things Are and you dressed up in a costume as Max. Your birthday and cake smash shoot was one of the cutest I have shot. Looking back over the past year and 9 months it sure flew by quickly! I can’t wait to see you as your grow, develop your own personality and start talking non stop! Happy Birthday Maverick! I hope you had an amazing time at your birthday party and an even more amazing birthday. 🎉

Tripp | One Year Milestone | Irvington, AL

Happy birthday to you! It doesn’t seem like it’s been a whole year since I went to meet Tripp in the hospital for his fresh 48 photos.

When Maggie told me about his costume for his birthday I knew we needed a smoke bomb for an extra “wow” factor. As you can see this child, perfectly named Tripp because he is a “trip” positioned himself for a perfect photo.

He is such a sweet little boy who is full of smiles. I enjoyed taking his first birthday photos as well as the Bell Familiy’s family photos. Happy birthday Tripp! Hope it’s a great day.

Whitney, Christopher & Laurel | Pregnancy Announcement | Irvington, AL

What’s my favorite thing about being a photographer? Getting to celebrate all of the happy and sometimes life changing moments in your life. It’s even more special when it’s my own family. This week I had the pleasure of photographing my sister’s pregnancy announcement for baby #2. I have loved seeing my other two nieces grow and see the personalities that they have developed and can not wait to see this new blessing to the family grow and how Laurel will take to being a big sister.

Congratulations to all three of you, I am beyond thrilled for you. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your journey.

Karina | Maternity | Downtown Mobile, AL

Oh my gosh! Karina is absolutely stunning with her cute little baby bump!!!

I recently held a model call for maternity gowns that I will have for new Mama’s to choose from when they book their session with me. It took a while for this gown to come in but wow, was it worth the wait!

The session was shot on the streets of Downtown Mobile in Alabama. Rain clouds surrounded us but held off long enough for us to get amazing shots. This beautiful Mama definitely rocked her session!

Thank you for modeling my gown for me Karina and congratulations on your bundle of joy!! I know you are going to be an amazing Mom.

Baylor | Milestone Session | Mobile, AL

It’s hard to believe his 1st birthday is right around the corner. It really does seem like yesterday that I was photographing his entry into the world.

Baylor has the sweetest parents and siblings so it’s no surprise that this cutie pie is full of smiles.

We shot his session at Langan Municipal Park in Mobile, AL. Even though the dark clouds were starting to roll in and the wind was blowing we had an amazing session. Thank you for choosing me to capture Baylor’s milestones in life. I can’t wait to see what we create for his 1st birthday!!

Megan | Maternity Session | Mobile, AL

I met Megan in July while I was working Kayla and Kelli's wedding. Such a beautiful bridesmaid with a growing baby bump. We talked a little about maternity photos and I gave her my information to contact me when she was ready.

In August the unthinkable happened and Megan's boyfriend, the father of her sweet baby girl, passed away from the injuries he had received in an accident. There was no way I could imagine the pain and grief that she was going through but a few days later I reached out to her because I knew her maternity photos had to be special. I knew that it was going to be an emotional session because she had planned on having him with her. Even though he wasn't there with us in person he was there holding her hand in spirit, helping her be strong.

The night after our session at the Japanese Gardens in Mobile, AL , Megan send me a message with a note to Justin. So many things are left unsaid when someone leaves the world unexpectedly and way too soon. Megan wanted to include the letter in the blog post and this story so that Justin is as much a part of the maternity session as he can be, and so that anyone reading knows their story and sees the symbolic meaning of the weeping willows and photos of Justin through out the gallery.

My sweet Justin,
I remember the very first time I met you. It was August 15th 2015 at a friends birthday celebration but little did we know that night both our lives were about to change forever. I knew I just had to know more about you so the next night I called my friend and started asking questions then next thing I know they gave you my number and from that day forward you were mine and I was yours. I remember our late night talks and the way I would get butterflies when I saw your name pop up on my phone. I remember the very first time we kissed, you were walking me out to my car to say goodnight and when you leaned in I remember getting goosebumps and feeling like a kid again. And last but not least I remember when I told you I was pregnant, I could hear the crackling in your voice though the phone and even though we were both scared we were so excited. I remember you holding my belly for hours trying to feel her kick while whispering to her how much of a daddy’s girl she was gonna be. Then on August 24th 2017 all that was gonna change. I woke up to a phone call telling me you had been in a bad car accident. My mind didn’t comprehend it at first and I didn’t wanna believe how bad everyone was saying it was. But as soon as I saw you laying in that hospital bed I knew I was about to lose my best friend forever. Then on August 25th 2017 I heard the one thing I never wanted to hear “you were gone” to this day it doesn’t make sense. And I may never understand why god wanted you so soon but I do know this... I promise I will raise our daughter up with nothing but love and she will never have to wonder who you are. You may not be here anymore but I will have a piece of you with me forever. Please don’t stop visiting me in my dreams and always keep an eye on our little girl. She has the best Guardian angel anyone could ever ask for..her daddy. I love you Justin Dee Warner you will forever be in my heart. And I can’t wait till I see you again. This isn’t goodbye it’s until we meet again my sweet angel.

Emmi | Fresh 48 | Mobile, AL

Ya'll, I met the cutest baby girl, who has the sweetest parents, a few weeks ago! Emmi was born at Mobile Infirmary Hospital in Mobile, AL on August 31st. When I walked in the room I was greeted by her sweet parents who were gushing over there bundle of joy. I was able to get a few baby cuddles in between poses.

Sommer | Maternity Session | Mobile, AL

This gorgeous mama is due next with with her baby boy. When she said she wanted to encorporate nature as well as water I knew the perfect place. After the session was over Sommer suggested that we head to the water and try a few photos there. You look amazing Sommer and I can not wait to meet your little man! He is one lucky kid who has two parents that love him already so very much!

Hadley | 6th Birthday

A few weeks ago I photographed a special little girl's birthday party at Beginner's Luck in Mobile, AL. Just past the red barn was horses, ponies, pigs, ducks, rabbits and other animals available for petting and riding. It was a blast getting to see the little ones riding horses and swinging. Hope your birthday was amazing Hadley!

Jana | 30th Birthday Cake Smash | Mobile, AL

What's a girl to do when she turns 30? Have a cake smash session filled with bubbly, tutus and glittery 30's of course! All of these things made the ultimate celebration for this now 30 year old. Jana wanted a fun and unique way to celebrate her 30th birthday because her personality doesn't allow for the dull and typical! We threw confetti, drank champagne, and of course ate cake. Exactly what we should all be doing when we turn 30 anyway.  She celebrated her youth with this gorgeous shoot and had a blast! This really does give a whole new meaning to celebrating the Big 3-0!

Jana, you are FABULOUS, Happy Birthday girl!
